FAQ

Questions about same-day delivery

Straight answers about how Deelo Parcel works in Kerala — what it costs, how long it takes, what we will and will not carry, and how the OTP and tracking keep a parcel accounted for end to end.

How the service works

How does same-day courier work?

You enter a pickup address and a destination in the Deelo Parcel app, choose a parcel size, and see the full fare before confirming. A nearby runner accepts, collects from your door within about six minutes, and delivers across the city the same day. An OTP is verified at both ends.

There is no booking office and no drop-off counter. The runner comes to wherever the parcel is — a house, a shop counter, a hospital ward — and takes it directly to the recipient. You watch the whole trip on a live map.

What time does Deelo Parcel operate?

Deelo Parcel runs from 7 AM to 11 PM, seven days a week, across Kerala. Bookings placed inside those hours are delivered the same day. You can also schedule a pickup for a future date and choose a morning, afternoon or evening window.

What happens if the recipient is not available?

The Deelo Parcel runner calls the recipient on arrival and waits up to 10 minutes. If nobody can take the parcel, it is returned to you and only the delivery leg is charged — you are never billed for both directions.

How is Deelo Parcel different from a normal courier?

A traditional courier collects into a hub, sorts overnight and delivers the next day. Deelo Parcel assigns one runner who carries your parcel directly from pickup to drop-off within the same city, so it arrives in under an hour instead of the next morning.

Do you work with businesses?

Yes. Shops, pharmacies, bakeries, clinics and small manufacturers use Deelo Parcel as their delivery arm across Kerala, with saved routes, per-delivery pricing and a public tracking link they can forward to their own customers.

Pricing and billing

How much does parcel delivery cost?

Deelo Parcel starts at ₹71 all-in for a small parcel on a short city run. The fare depends on parcel size and distance, and includes a ₹12 platform fee and 18% GST. The full price is shown before you confirm, and there is no surge pricing.

Small parcels up to 5 kg are the cheapest tier, Medium covers up to 10 kg and Large up to 15 kg. Express costs 1.5× standard because the runner takes no other stop.

Can I cancel a booking?

Yes. Cancel free of charge any time before a runner accepts, because nothing is deducted until then. After a runner has been assigned and started towards pickup, a partial fee applies to cover the trip they have already made.

Timing

How long does delivery take?

Most Deelo Parcel deliveries within a Kerala town finish in 20 to 40 minutes. A runner is usually assigned within six minutes of booking. Longer runs between towns take one to two hours depending on distance and traffic, and every booking shows a live ETA that counts down.

What you can send

Can I send medicine with Deelo Parcel?

Yes. Deelo Parcel carries medicines, repeat prescriptions and Ayurveda preparations from a pharmacy to a patient's door the same day, usually within 30 to 60 minutes. Send the pharmacy bill or prescription with the parcel. Narcotics and Schedule X drugs are not carried.

Can I send electronics?

Yes. Deelo Parcel carries phones, laptops, cameras, routers and spare parts, with OTP verification at pickup and handover. Pack the device in a rigid box rather than a soft bag and declare it at booking. Loose or swollen lithium batteries are not accepted.

Can I send documents?

Yes. Documents are the most common thing Deelo Parcel carries — contracts, certificates, deeds, tender bids and bank forms. They travel sealed, with OTP verification at both ends and a timestamped delivery record. Cash and bearer cheques are not accepted.

What can I not send?

Deelo Parcel does not carry cash, jewellery, alcohol, narcotics, weapons, flammable or hazardous goods, live animals, or anything above 15 kg. Loose or damaged lithium batteries are also refused. Everything else that fits the size tiers is accepted.

Safety and verification

Can someone else receive the parcel?

Only the person you name as the receiver can take delivery, because the handover OTP is sent to their phone. If you need to change who collects it, edit the receiver in the Deelo Parcel app before the runner reaches the drop-off address.

Do you verify with OTP?

Yes. Deelo Parcel verifies a one-time code twice: once when the runner collects the parcel from you, and again when the recipient takes it. This is why a parcel cannot be collected from the wrong person or released to the wrong one.

How does live tracking work?

Once a runner accepts, Deelo Parcel shows their position on a live map with an ETA that counts down and an alert when they are close. You can forward a public tracking link to the recipient so they follow the same delivery without needing an account.

Do you provide proof of delivery?

Yes. Deelo Parcel captures a photo at handover, records the OTP verification and timestamps both in your order history. For offices and legal work this is usually sufficient as a delivery audit trail.

Are Deelo Parcel runners verified?

Every Deelo Parcel runner is ID-checked and address-verified before their first job, and rides with a registered vehicle recorded in the app. You see their name, photo, vehicle number and rating before they reach you, and can call them in one tap.

Coverage

Which areas does Deelo Parcel cover?

Deelo Parcel operates across Kerala, covering all 14 districts from Thiruvananthapuram to Kasaragod, including Kochi, Kottayam, Thrissur, Kozhikode and Kannur. Service runs within a city or town on the same day. Expansion beyond Kerala to the rest of India is planned.
