How your parcel stays accounted for

A courier is a chain of custody. Deelo Parcel closes both ends of it with a one-time code, records the whole trip on GPS, and captures a photo at handover — so at every point there is a record of who had the parcel and when.

The chain of custody

At pickup

The runner shows you a code from their app which must match the one on your screen. If it does not match, do not hand over the parcel — it means the person at your door is not the runner assigned to your booking.

At handover

A second code goes to the recipient's phone. Only the person you named can release it, which is why a parcel cannot be left with a neighbour or handed to the wrong flat. A proof photo is captured at the same moment.

What we do on every booking

OTP at both ends

A one-time code is verified at pickup and again at handover, so a parcel can never be collected or released to the wrong person.

Live tracking on a map

You watch the runner move in real time, with an ETA that counts down and a notification when they are close.

Verified runners

Every runner is ID-checked and address-verified before their first job, and carries a rating you can see before handover.

Instant, upfront pricing

The full fare is shown before you confirm. There is no surge, no per-kilometre surprise and no charge until a runner accepts.

Door pickup

The runner comes to your door, desk or shop counter. You never travel to a booking office.

Door delivery

Delivery is to the recipient's door, with a proof photo captured at handover.

Human support

Support answers in about two minutes between 7 AM and 11 PM, on WhatsApp or phone.

Fast dispatch

A runner is usually assigned within 6 minutes of booking in our active service areas.

What we cannot carry

This list is short and firm. A runner who finds any of these in a parcel will decline the job, and the booking is cancelled without a refund of the delivery leg.

  • · Cash, bearer cheques and negotiable instruments
  • · Gold, jewellery and precious stones
  • · Alcohol, tobacco products and narcotics
  • · Weapons, ammunition and explosives
  • · Flammable liquids, gas cylinders and corrosive chemicals
  • · Loose, damaged or swollen lithium batteries
  • · Live animals and birds
  • · Anything above 15 kg, or larger than a scooter footwell
  • · Perishables that need continuous refrigeration beyond a short cold-chain hop
  • · Anything illegal to possess or transport under Indian law

Packing is your half of the job

  • Seal it. An open bag is the most common cause of damage, not rough handling.
  • Use a rigid box for anything fragile or electronic — a padded sleeve alone is not enough on Kerala roads.
  • Declare fragile or cold-chain parcels at booking so the runner takes a direct route and the right carrier.
  • Do not write valuables, amounts or passport numbers on the outside of a parcel.
  • In monsoon, add a waterproof layer to anything paper. Runners are on two wheels.

Safety questions

What can I not send?

Deelo Parcel does not carry cash, jewellery, alcohol, narcotics, weapons, flammable or hazardous goods, live animals, or anything above 15 kg. Loose or damaged lithium batteries are also refused. Everything else that fits the size tiers is accepted.

Do you verify with OTP?

Yes. Deelo Parcel verifies a one-time code twice: once when the runner collects the parcel from you, and again when the recipient takes it. This is why a parcel cannot be collected from the wrong person or released to the wrong one.

How does live tracking work?

Once a runner accepts, Deelo Parcel shows their position on a live map with an ETA that counts down and an alert when they are close. You can forward a public tracking link to the recipient so they follow the same delivery without needing an account.

What happens if the recipient is not available?

The Deelo Parcel runner calls the recipient on arrival and waits up to 10 minutes. If nobody can take the parcel, it is returned to you and only the delivery leg is charged — you are never billed for both directions.
