How do you protect a laptop in transit?

Runners carry declared laptops in a padded carrier rather than a general bag. Your own packing matters most: a padded sleeve inside a rigid box with the gaps filled.

Can my colleague collect it instead of me?

Only if you name them as the receiver at booking, since the OTP goes to the receiver's phone. You can change the receiver before the runner reaches the drop-off.
