Door to door
Door-to-door parcel delivery in Kottayam
With Deelo Parcel you never go to a courier counter. The runner comes to your house, shop or office in Kottayam, verifies a one-time code, carries the parcel directly to the recipient's door and verifies a second code there, with a photo at handover. Pickup and delivery are both at the door, the same day.

What happens at your door
Before the runner arrives
You see the runner's name, photo, vehicle number and rating in the app, and can call them in one tap. They call you when they are close. Pack the parcel the way the service page for that item suggests — sealed envelope, rigid box for anything fragile.
At handover
You read out the pickup OTP from your phone; the runner enters it; the parcel is now in the chain of custody. Nothing has been charged until this point — the fare is taken only once a runner has accepted the job.
What happens at theirs
Only the named person
The delivery OTP goes to the recipient's phone, so only the person you named can take the parcel. The runner calls on arrival and waits up to ten minutes. If nobody can take it, it comes back to you and only the delivery leg is charged.
Proof you can keep
A photo is captured at handover and the OTP check is timestamped in your order history. For offices, advocates and anyone sending originals, that record is the delivery audit trail.
Pin your gate, not your street
The booking flow asks for a pinned location rather than a typed address on purpose. In Kottayam's residential lanes, estate roads and apartment compounds, a pin on the gate is the difference between a runner arriving once and calling you twice for directions. Saved places — home, office, shop — make the second booking two taps.
Who uses door pickup
- Families sending medicines, documents or a forgotten charger from home without anyone leaving the house.
- Shops, bakeries and pharmacies booking from the counter so the customer's order leaves today and no staff leaves the shop.
- Offices, chartered accountants and advocates sending files from the desk with a timestamped proof at the other end.
- Instagram and WhatsApp sellers booking a pickup from the kitchen or studio and forwarding the tracking link to the buyer.
- Elderly parents whose children book on their behalf — the runner calls before arriving and is ID-verified.

How we keep it safe
OTP at both ends
A one-time code is verified at pickup and again at handover, so a parcel can never be collected or released to the wrong person.
Live tracking on a map
You watch the runner move in real time, with an ETA that counts down and a notification when they are close.
Verified runners
Every runner is ID-checked and address-verified before their first job, and carries a rating you can see before handover.
Instant, upfront pricing
The full fare is shown before you confirm. There is no surge, no per-kilometre surprise and no charge until a runner accepts.
Door pickup
The runner comes to your door, desk or shop counter. You never travel to a booking office.
Door delivery
Delivery is to the recipient's door, with a proof photo captured at handover.
Human support
A person answers on WhatsApp or on the phone — not a bot, and not a ticket queue.
A window you pick
Choose a morning, afternoon or evening pickup window and a runner is held for it, rather than joining an open-ended queue.

Door-to-door delivery — questions
What does door-to-door parcel delivery mean?
Door-to-door means you never visit a courier counter. A Deelo Parcel runner comes to your house, shop or office, verifies a one-time code, carries the parcel directly to the recipient's door and verifies a second code there, with a photo at handover. Pickup and delivery are both at the door.
Do you verify with OTP?
Yes. Deelo Parcel verifies a one-time code twice: once when the runner collects the parcel from you, and again when the recipient takes it. This is why a parcel cannot be collected from the wrong person or released to the wrong one.
Can someone else receive the parcel?
Only the person you name as the receiver can take delivery, because the handover OTP is sent to their phone. If you need to change who collects it, edit the receiver in the Deelo Parcel app before the runner reaches the drop-off address.
What happens if the recipient is not available?
The Deelo Parcel runner calls the recipient on arrival and waits up to 10 minutes. If nobody can take the parcel, it is returned to you and only the delivery leg is charged — you are never billed for both directions.
Do you provide proof of delivery?
Yes. Deelo Parcel captures a photo at handover, records the OTP verification and timestamps both in your order history. For offices and legal work this is usually sufficient as a delivery audit trail.
Are Deelo Parcel runners verified?
Every Deelo Parcel runner is ID-checked and address-verified before their first job, and rides with a registered vehicle recorded in the app. You see their name, photo, vehicle number and rating before they reach you, and can call them in one tap.
Do I have to be home for the pickup?
Someone has to hand the parcel over and read out the pickup OTP — you, a family member, a colleague at the desk or a shop assistant. Put their phone number as the sender contact when you book and the code goes to them.
Can the runner collect from a shop counter or an office reception?
Yes. Shops, pharmacies, bakeries and offices in Kottayam book pickups from the counter every day. Drop the pin on the shop entrance rather than the street address so the runner walks to the right door.
