Terms of service
What you agree to when you book a delivery with Deelo Parcel. Last updated 25 July 2026.
The service
Deelo Parcel connects you with an independent runner who carries your parcel from a pickup address to a delivery address within the same city. We are a courier platform, not a freight forwarder, a pharmacy, a restaurant or a purchasing agent. We move what you have already packed and sealed.
What you must not send
Cash, jewellery, alcohol, narcotics, weapons, hazardous or flammable goods, live animals, loose lithium batteries, and anything above 15 kg or illegal to transport under Indian law. Booking a prohibited item is a breach of these terms, the runner may decline it on sight, and the delivery leg remains chargeable.
Your responsibilities
Pack the parcel adequately for two-wheeler transport. Declare fragile, cold-chain or high-value contents at booking. Provide accurate addresses and a reachable recipient. You are responsible for the legality of the contents and for any permit or prescription that must accompany them.
Liability
Our liability for a lost or damaged parcel is limited to the delivery fee paid plus a maximum of ₹2,000, except where the loss results from our gross negligence. We are not liable for consequential loss — a missed deadline, a cancelled contract, or the sentimental value of an item. Undeclared fragile or high-value contents are carried at your own risk.
Failed delivery
If the recipient cannot be reached, the runner calls and waits up to ten minutes before returning the parcel to the pickup address. Only the delivery leg is charged. If the return is also refused, the parcel is held at our Kottayam office for seven days.
Payment and cancellation
The fare you see before confirming is the fare you pay. There is no surge pricing and no per-kilometre surprise added afterwards. Every booking includes a ₹12 platform fee and 18% GST, both shown as separate lines in the breakdown. You are not charged until a runner accepts the job. If nobody accepts, nothing is deducted. If the recipient is unreachable, the runner waits 10 minutes, then returns the parcel. Only the delivery leg is charged, never both. Express costs 1.5× the standard fare because the runner takes no other stop. Scheduled costs 1.1×. Coupons apply to the delivery fee, not to GST or the platform fee.
Runners
Runners are independent contractors, verified by us before activation. They are not our employees. We remove runners from the platform for substantiated complaints, and every delivery carries a timestamped record used to resolve disputes.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes fall under the jurisdiction of the courts at Kottayam, Kerala.
