How to pack it
- Triple packaging is mandatory: sealed primary tube, absorbent secondary container, rigid outer box.
- Label the outer box as a diagnostic specimen and include the lab requisition inside.
- Cold-chain samples need a gel pack and an insulated box; mark it at booking so the runner goes direct.
What we cannot carry
- Samples must be packed to the collecting laboratory's standard. Runners will decline anything leaking or unsealed.
- We do not carry Category A infectious substances.
